St. Catherine of Siena School Boosters Club
Player and Parent
Responsibilities Agreement
Parent Responsibilities:
To see that the player is provided transportation to and from all practices, games, or team events. The player should arrive at least ten minutes before practice is scheduled to start and be picked up within five minutes of practice ending. The player should be at games as directed by the coach.
To agree to abide by the St. Catherine of Siena School Policies regarding your child’s participation in extra curricular activities – See handbook or policy manual for specific policies.
To notify the coach as soon as possible if the player will not be at a practice or game. Your decision to keep a player from practice or game will be accepted. If you fail to notify the coach in advance, and your child has two non-excused absences, your child will sit for two games. If your child has a third non-excused absence, he will be removed from the team for the remainder of the season.
To maintain the player’s uniform during the season in a manner, which will reflect well on St. Catherine of Siena School. The uniform should be returned as directed upon receiving notice from the Boosters, school or coach. Uniforms should be returned in good condition. If the uniform is lost or damaged, you are responsible for the replacement. If payment for replacement is not received, no uniforms will be issued to your family in the future.
To approach the coach first if you have any concerns regarding your child or any other child on the team. If you feel that your concern was not properly addressed, you may send a letter to the Coaches Committee of the Boosters Club addressing your concerns. The letter will be held in confidence unless you direct otherwise. You must sign your letter or it will not be considered.
To foster sportsmanship and Christian values by encouraging your child to treat himself, the coach, officials, team members, and the opposing team with respect. You agree to conduct yourself in a manner, which reflects well on St. Catherine of Siena School and exemplifies good Christian values.
To accept your responsibility in helping with fund raisers, leagues, and activities sponsored by the Athletic Boosters Club including working the concession stand and door at league and tournament games held at St. Catherine of Siena School.
Player Responsibilities:
To be on time for practice, games, and team events.
To understand that your conduct during practice or games and on or off school property can result in suspension or dismissal from the team.
To agree to abide by the St. Catherine of Siena School Policies regarding your participation in extra curricular activities – See handbook or policy manual for specific policies.
To understand that two non-excused absences will result in sitting out for two games. You must attend the games you sit out in uniform, but you will not play. A third non-excused absence will result in your suspension from the team for the remainder of the season.
To respect yourself, other team members and coaches. You understand that your attitude and behavior, if not positive, may result in a loss of playing time. You agree that practice is a time to listen and learn, not a play time.
